The name Carrillo unlike some other Spanish names is neither patronymic, locative nor descriptive.  Its root maybe found in the Spanish names  with Jewish origins.  Even the word, Iberia,  has its roots  from 'Ivri'.    Ivri is the word Abraham used to distinguish himself as a border crosser or "other-sider."

Our Carrillo line begins with the marriage of Miguel Carrillo to Eufemia (Clever) Chincarini, a widow with five children.
