Fernando Rodriguez Juarez, age 83, passed away Monday morning, April 16, 2007. Born in San Antonio, Texas, July 1923, Fernando was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Mary Trevi–o Juarez, his mother Benita R. Hernandez, and his only brother Ruben R. Juarez. His five children, Henry T. Carrera, Yolanda C. Soto, Sylvia Juarez Escobedo, Jo Anne Juarez Stay, and Richard J. Juarez, 10 grandchildren, Henry Carrera Jr., Jesse Urias, Johnny Carrera, Debbie Dial, Roger Soliz, Diane Navarro, Denise Wolfe, Cynthia Bossard, Kimberly Poteau, Donald Stay, and Elliana Juarez, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, survive him. We will miss his humor and quick wit and great story telling. He was our loving father, grandfather and dearest friend. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 7:30 P.M. at the Angelus Chapel. Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday at 8:30 A.M. at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Little Flower. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
